Phase V of the Bóly Industrial Park development has begun; the cornerstone of the new industrial hall was laid by László Őri, president of the Baranya County Council, and József Hárs, mayor of Bóly.
As part of an 800 million forint project awarded under the Regional Operational Program Plus, a hall with a usable floor area of 1,663.22 m² will be built on the previously developed site, and the existing 58-hectare industrial park will be expanded by 29 hectares of utility-connected land.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Mayor József Hárs noted that there is ongoing interest in the industrial buildings available for rent. Today, more than 30 businesses operate in the Bóly Industrial Park, employing over 1,000 people.
László Őri, president of the Baranya County Council, emphasized that Bóly is one of the county’s model communities, which has managed to thrive despite the economic difficulties of recent years. Educational and social institutions have been renovated in the town, a bike path has been built, and green spaces have been created, the county president noted. In total, developments worth several billion forints have been implemented in the small town in eastern Baranya County, said László Őri.
The new industrial hall is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2025.
