Objective: To support technological renewal, capacity expansion, and competitiveness among businesses in the four most disadvantaged regions (Southern Great Plain, Southern Transdanubia, Northern Great Plain, Northern Hungary) and/or in the municipalities of the Free Enterprise Zones (FEZ).
Who is eligible to apply?
- Micro and small businesses (including sole proprietors) with their registered office in Hungary.
- At least one full fiscal year and an average annual headcount of at least one employee in the most recent fiscal year.
- The project will be implemented in one of the four regions listed above and/or in a municipality designated as a Specially Protected Area (SZVZ).
- They are not eligible for the KATA scheme.
What can it be used for?
Required element(s):
- Purchase of new equipment/machinery, development of new technological systems
and capacities (at least 30% of the total project cost).
Other eligible items: - IT development (software, business cloud services; hardware may also be eligible, subject to certain restrictions).
- Real estate investment (construction/renovation/expansion) – is not eligible for funding on its own.
- Project management, overhead costs, consulting, inventory, mandatory disclosure.
Amount and rate of the subsidy
- Non-repayable grant: 5–120 million HUF.
- Aid intensity: 50%.
- Down payment: up to 25% as a general rule; up to 50% in justified cases, subject to a liquidity plan.
- Total budget: 150 billion HUF (as of August 1, 2025).
When and until when can applications be submitted?
- Submission period begins: August 5, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.
- Deadline: April 30, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
- Evaluation: simplified procedure, ongoing evaluation until the budget is exhausted.
