BAT Pécsi Dohánygyár Kft. (BAT Pécs Tobacco Factory, Ltd.) is the Hungarian subsidiary of the global British American Tobacco group, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange. BAT acquired the factory in 1992 as its first acquisition in Central Europe. Today, it has grown to become one of the region’s most significant industrial employers and a strategically important European manufacturing hub for the group, particularly in the area of innovative, new-category products.
