Brief description of the project:
The call for proposals, issued with the aim of “Supporting County-Level Cooperation in Employment and Economic Development,” aligns with the economic and provides an opportunity to continue the positive trends initiated by the Pact project, which concluded in November 2021.
The entire region of Baranya County exhibits significant disparities in development, which are fundamentally rooted in differences in spatial structure, demographics, and traditional economic conditions.
Addressing these issues is essential for the development of the entire county. And the driving force behind this development can only be a partnership that includes economic actors, local governments, the civil sector, and the state institutional system alike. The essence of the so-called Pact project, which has received funding, is precisely this cooperation.
As part of this project, through the Employment and Economic Development Partnership, we invite the county’s key professional and economic representatives, the local governments of the district seats, the University of Pécs, the South Transdanubia Development Zone, and civil society organizations involved in employment objectives.
The project’s direct target groups: the groups most vulnerable in terms of employment in Baranya County:
• unemployed people over the age of 50,
• expectant mothers who intend to return to work after taking GYES or GYED leave, and
• currently inactive job seekers.
