The Sándor Demján Capital Program has entered a new phase: following the decision by the Hungarian Development Bank, capital investments by micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises that have successfully applied can now begin. The program is of national significance, yet it also offers significant growth opportunities for businesses in Baranya County, as it provides financing for investments on favorable terms.
According to information from the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the evaluation process has been completed, so MKIK Capital Fund Management Ltd. can now begin the necessary contract procedures and, in the case of transactions that have already been prepared, disburse the capital funds. The goal is for the selected companies to receive the allocated funds as quickly as possible so they can begin implementing their development projects.
The goal of the Sándor Demján Capital Program is to help increase the competitiveness of Hungarian micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises and to facilitate investments that will improve these companies’ productivity and market position in the long term.
The program primarily supports infrastructure development, capacity expansion, technological modernization, digitization, energy efficiency investments, export development, and business development projects. According to the official program description, businesses can access capital ranging from 100 to 400 million forints, which may be available under favorable financing terms, even without any down payment.
The program could be particularly important for the economy of Baranya County. The region is home to a significant number of companies in the manufacturing, machinery, food, IT, tourism, and service sectors, for which financing development projects often poses a serious challenge. The capital program can offer new growth opportunities precisely to these companies.
As a result of these investments, businesses may adopt new machinery and technologies, digital solutions may advance, energy efficiency may improve, and new products and services may enter the market. In the long term, all of this can contribute to job creation and an increase in businesses’ export capacity.
