The Pécs-Baranya Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced an eight-hour, free AI training program for microenterprises. The program is not a general introduction to artificial intelligence: participants will learn how to integrate agent systems, MCP servers, and automation solutions into their day-to-day business operations.
In just a few years, artificial intelligence has evolved from a tool for tech-savvy users into a technology that shapes the day-to-day operations of businesses. Most companies have already encountered chat-based AI tools, and many use them for writing, brainstorming, administrative tasks, or customer communication. The next step, however, is no longer simply for a business owner to ask a chatbot a question, but rather for AI systems to execute specific workflows, manage data, automate processes, and support decision-making logic.
The Pécs-Baranya Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s new training program continues to guide microenterprises in this direction. The program titled “MI Pro: Agency Systems and Smart Automation for Microenterprises” will take place on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Pécs, at the chamber’s headquarters on Majorossy Imre Street. Participation is free of charge; the registration deadline is July 28, 2026.
The training is aimed at owners and employees of microenterprises, sole proprietors, and small companies. The program does not require any prior programming knowledge, but it assumes that participants have already used some kind of AI chatbot, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or a similar tool. This is an important distinction: the training does not explain the basic concepts of artificial intelligence from scratch, but is intended for those who, after their initial attempts, are thinking about practical, business-oriented applications.
During the training, participants will learn about the limitations of chatbot-based AI, the logic behind agent operation, the role of the MCP (Model Context Protocol), and the main categories of available MCP servers. The training will cover the differences between Claude Code and Claude Cowork, event-driven automation, Zapier integration options, and the differences between AI-assisted and AI-driven automation.
The program’s practical approach is particularly important for microenterprises. In a small company, the same person often handles customer communication, preparing quotes, invoicing, administration, marketing, and organization. In such an environment, even a simple, well-configured automation can result in significant time savings. Automating a repetitive data-driven task, a regularly generated report, the preliminary processing of a customer inquiry, or a document workflow can directly improve day-to-day operations.
Upon completion of the training, participants are expected to be able to independently configure at least one MCP server and deploy it for production use, delegate repetitive data-driven tasks to an appropriate AI tool, build simple event-driven automation using Zapier, and design a prototype workflow incorporating AI decision logic. The focus is not on exams or theoretical assessments: the program concludes with developer-led and self-assessment evaluations, without the obligation to take exams or the administrative burden.
One interesting aspect of the training is that it presents AI not merely as a tool, but as a task-executing system. This also represents a shift in entrepreneurial thinking. The question isn’t “what should the chatbot write for me,” but rather which repetitive, data-driven, or preparatory processes can be designed so that AI substantially lightens the load on the entrepreneur or employee.
To participate, you’ll need your own laptop and active user accounts for the cloud-based services. According to PBKIK, you’ll need a Claude account—the free version is sufficient—as well as a Google account for the Zapier integration exercises. The maximum group size is 30 people, and the training will take place with a minimum of 15 participants.

From the perspective of Baranya’s economy, such training programs are important because digitalization is not just a matter for large companies. The productivity, customer service, administrative efficiency, and market adaptability of microenterprises are just as crucial to the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. For a small business, a well-designed automation system is often not a technological luxury, but rather a way to save time, ensure more predictable operations, and provide a better customer experience.
Moreover, the use of artificial intelligence in business is increasingly becoming a matter of compliance and awareness. Companies must not only use these tools but also understand when to choose which solution, which tasks can be automated, where human oversight is necessary, and how to safely and responsibly integrate AI into their daily work.
The training program in Pécs can therefore serve as a good starting point for microenterprises that have already experimented with artificial intelligence but would like to use it in a more informed and business-oriented way. The program provides practical knowledge, expert support, and a certificate, while allowing participants to develop solutions tailored to the operations of their own businesses.
The training program is being organized on behalf of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Business Development Project, with support from the Government of Hungary. The application period runs through July 28, and the training, set to begin in early August, will provide new tools to micro-enterprises in Baranya County that want to use AI not just as a buzzword, but as a real operational advantage.
