The second phase of the Sándor Demján 1+1 SME Investment Stimulus Support Program has been launched; with a budget of 20 billion forints, it aims to accelerate the technological renewal and capacity expansion of rural —including those in Baranya County—to accelerate technological renewal and capacity expansion. Under the program, businesses can apply for non-repayable grants of 25–200 million forints per company, with a maximum aid intensity of 50%, specifically for the purchase of new, modern equipment. The goal is clear: to substantially increase productivity and competitiveness through a simple, fast process.
The process consists of two steps. First, pre-registration is required on the Vali.hu platform, which opened on November 6, 2025; this is followed by the submission of grant applications starting December 1, 2025, for pre-registered companies. According to government information, beneficiaries will receive the awarded grant as a 100% advance payment, expected in the first quarter of 2026, so that investments can begin immediately.
From Baranya’s perspective, this program is particularly valuable because it opens up tangible opportunities for development for manufacturers, food processing companies, construction firms, wood and metalworking companies, and innovative service providers operating in the county: new machinery, production lines, robotics, measuring and packaging equipment, as well as production-supporting technologies, which directly reduce unit costs and improve quality. The second phase is expected to enable the development of approximately 250 businesses nationwide, mobilizing at least 40 billion forints in new investment—part of which may be realized in Baranya, strengthening local jobs and supply chains.
