In this context, in close partnership with local communities and key institutional stakeholders—with particular emphasis on the University of Pécs—the Baranya County Government is committed to attracting as many and as diverse investors as possible by implementing a strategy that meets the challenges of the 21st century, utilizing the most modern technology, and fully complying with environmental regulations. At the same time, a key objective of the county is to reduce disparities in regional development, that is, to support the catch-up and development of lagging, peripheral regions through investment.
For the county to be competitive, it must be able to provide comprehensive services that positively influence investor decisions in its favor, thereby facilitating the investment process. We consider the most important tool for achieving this to be positively influencing the image of the county, which can make it possible to meet investor needs, successfully prepare for investments, and encourage reinvestment.
