By the end of March, the Komló municipal government had submitted a total of nine grant applications worth 2.6 billion forints to further build and develop the city. The submitted proposals have the potential to bring about significant progress in the areas of infrastructure, public spaces, tourism, and social development.
The submitted applications:
- Renovation of Esperanto Square and the surrounding area
- Urban renewal for social purposes
- Community-oriented development of Sikonda
- Development of the Area Surrounding the Gothic Church Ruins
- Tourism Development in Sikonda
- Improving utility infrastructure in existing industrial areas
- Construction of a bike path toward Hosszúhetény (Phase I)
- “Let’s Get to Know Each Other” – Local Human Development Initiatives
- “Our World” – Social Urban Renewal
