Construction has begun on a new 7,500-square-meter production facility in Pécs, where nicotine pouches—which are less harmful* than traditional cigarettes—will be manufactured. Construction is underway at BAT’s Finn Street facility, and the new building is expected to be completed in 2025. Pécs is already one of the world’s leading centers for nicotine pouch production, having produced more than 3 billion pouches in 2023. With the expansion of nicotine pouch production capacity, production in Pécs will be able to add a total of 16 new production lines.
