In terms of its historical past, it is a Catholic Swabian settlement, where a significant number of Reformed Hungarian families from the Highlands settled in the mid-20th century following population exchanges. This is how Bóly’s current religious and ethnic composition was formed.
nnnnThe city has excellent access, as it has a direct exit to the M60 motorway towards Pécs, and to the M6 motorway towards Budapest (and Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina). Thanks to the developments of the past decades, its public institutions are heated with thermal water, and the municipality has built an optical network, which provides TV and internet services in the settlement. The German-speaking workforce is supported by a 180-place nursery and kindergarten operating in the city, as well as an 8-grade German nationalities and arts primary school.
nnnnIn terms of accommodation and catering, private accommodations operating in our historic cellar walls provide visitors with a standard of care that meets today’s needs..
Like most cities in Baranya, Bóly is also true that due to its proximity to Pécs, it is also guaranteed to welcome investors who need flexible training and higher education supplementary services.
Bóly awaits its visitors with the peace and safety of small towns, but with the services typical of big cities!
